The name "Christadelphian" means "brothers and sisters in Christ." We seek to believe and practice the teaching of the Bible just as the first century followers of Jesus did. Christadelphians meet in around 120 countries and have done so for more than 150 years. Below is a summary of what we believe, with Bible references so you can read and check for yourself (Acts 17:11).
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and His only revealed message to mankind. It is our sole authority for faith and life, given to lead people to belief in God and His Son. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Romans 16:26)
There is one eternal, immortal God, the Creator of all things. Jesus Christ is His only begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit is God's power at work in the world. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Timothy 1:17, 2:5)
Human beings are mortal and inclined to sin, and the result of sin is death, which is the end of all life and consciousness. (Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23, 6:23; Ecclesiastes 9:5,10; Psalm 146:4)
Our only hope of life after death is the resurrection of the body when Jesus returns, followed by everlasting life in God's Kingdom on earth. (John 11:25-26; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23; Revelation 5:10)
Out of His love, God sent His Son, the man Christ Jesus, to save people from their sins. This salvation was first promised to Abraham and David, and those promises are fulfilled in Jesus. (John 3:16; Genesis 22:15-18; 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Galatians 3:8,16,26-29)
Jesus lived a sinless life and died to declare God's righteousness and to save sinners. God raised him from the dead, gave him immortality, and made him the mediator between God and man. (Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 1:19-23; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 4:14-16)
Jesus will return to the earth. He will raise the dead, judge them together with the living, and give everlasting life to the faithful. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:31-34; John 5:28-29; Acts 1:11; 2 Timothy 4:1)
God's Kingdom will be established on earth, with Jesus reigning as king in Jerusalem. His worldwide rule will bring lasting righteousness and peace. (Psalm 72; Isaiah 2:2-4, 9:6-7; Daniel 2:44; Acts 3:21)
We enter the Kingdom of God by faith. This means believing the Gospel, repenting of our sins, being baptized by full immersion, and following Jesus faithfully. We strive to live lives of prayer and good works, while recognizing that salvation is by God's grace. (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:37-38; Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 11:6)
